VIBE Magazine QR Code Cover Doesn't Scan

VIBE Magazine had gone 'digital' by inserting QR codes and exclusive mobile web content within its pages. The Hip Hop music industry publication has been using QR codes in the past 3 issues but this one graced the cover. Too bad it has some MAJOR scanning issues with almost every popular QR code reader.....:( Someone didn't TEST. Wow...... To clarify the cause of the problem, generating the code without http://  will just display text for most readers and NOT open the link in the browser.

  1. Hello,

we believe that QR codes will make the connection between offline and online worlds easier. That's why we created our QR code generator with social features YouScan.me - http://www.youscan.me. You can add all your info like Facebook profile or fan page, twitter, youtube, etc. and connect with others.

    Cheers

  3. Thanks for the comment! Yeah it works for Opti and NEO but not for Scanlife, Paperlinks, Red Laser and MANY others actually. It needs http://

  4. It does scan as text thought, rather than a URL. We just have recognition that gives that as an option. As you say - not much testing happening there!

youscan.me = troll at the moment...
